Queensbury Park – Harrow 2024

The Fiddler Festival was by far the most beautiful and largest outdoors event, ever organised in the romanian community in UK.

Truly an explosion of joy for the community and a privilege to enjoy the music of the most talented among us.

.
Roma Romanians are an important part of our community, and for us it is a privilege that, for the first time outside of Romania, we managed to organise an event that celebrates the unique cultural identity of our brothers.

This festival is proof that love between people overcomes any social barriers, it is proof that love is the only force in the universe that can replace stigma with honour, discrimination with honour, and rejection with respect.

We are grateful to Harrow Council for approving our event, and this is a sign of respect and inclusion for the most discriminated minority in the world.
Respect to Cristi Farcas who put so much soul into the musical organization. He is truly a professional and a musician to admire, but above all he is a character to admire.

Raising of the Romanian Flag at Harrow Council

•  For the first time in the history of Harrow, the Romanian flag was raised on the National Day of Romania with the full support of Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Janet Mote and the local MP Gareth Thomas
• Attended by the local community, church leaders, Romanian entrepreneurs and other Romanian NGOs 
• Attendance of Romanian government representatives: The State Secretar for the Minister of the Romanians Everywhere, Gheorghe Cârciu, and The President of the UK – Romania friendship group in the Romanian Parliament, Simina Tulbure
• Attendance of the Romanian authorities: Consul Robert Marin and Embassy representatives
• Attendance from both parties leading Harrow Council (Conservatives and Labours
