Romanian Royal Choir – Carols
Trafalgar Square 2023
- Romanian Royal Choir is a Roconect project promoting the beauty and unicity of the traditional cultural wealth of the Romanian community leaving in UK.
- On 16 December in Trafalgar Square we had the honour and the privilege to fill in the square with the sound of our culture and Christmas traditions.
- We have taken the traditional Christmas spirit to London Luton Airport and The Romanian Embassy in UK and Buckingham Palace
- It is a project in collaboration with Romanian Cultural Institute in London
- The project gathered consecrated singers, Romanian NGO’s, beautiful singers from the community representing diferent areas from Romania.
- This project had carried with it an imense emotional charge and many renown media outlets have caught and then spread the overflowing Christmas cheer.

CELEBRATING ROMANIAN NATIONAL DAY
Evening of prayer with the Romanian Churches at the Parliament
- By the kindness of Gareth Thomas MP
- 150 Church leaders, community leaders and NGO leaders have gathered on 29th of November to start the celebrations for the Romanian National Day
- London has the most Romanian churches, outside of Romania, and their contribution to the Romanian diaspora community cannot go unnoticed.
- Churches are real community centres, where the Romanians find a family, find the culture and traditions that make us feel at home, no matter where we are in the world.
- With this occasion Mr Gareth has invited the leader of the House of Commons to join in welcoming the contribution of British Romanians to UK.
Raising of the Romanian Flag at Harrow Council
- For the first time in the history of Harrow, the Romanian flag was raised on the National Day of Romania with the full support of Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Janet Mote and the local MP Gareth Thomas
- Attended by the local community, church leaders, Romanian entrepreneurs and other Romanian NGOs
